CINEMAGIC: INDUSTRY Q&A WITH FILM COMPOSER TREVOR JONES
Plus Screening: Last of the Mohicans
BELFAST: Odyssey Cinemas
WED 11TH OCT, 2017 7:00pm
Before the screening film composer Trevor Jones (The Last of the Mohicans, Labyrinth, Notting Hill, In the Name of the Father) will be taking part in an industry Q&A with presenter and producer Tim Burden. Trevor will talk about his amazing career in film, especially his work on the classic film The Last of the Mohicans.
The Last of the Mohicans - James Fenimore Cooper's classic novel of the French & Indian War gets a cinematic modern upgrade courtesy of action specialist Michael Mann. Daniel Day-Lewis plays Hawkeye, a white orphan adopted by a Mohican tribe; Madeleine Stowe is the beautiful daughter of a British officer. Their love story set against the backdrop of massive historical changes makes this the rare epic that is as intimate as it is sweeping.
Dir: Michael Mann, USA, 1992, 112 mins, Cert: 12, in English/French/Mohawk
