The Consumer Council Statement on the National Transport Authority’s decision about the cancellation of WB Yeats sailings by Irish Ferries in summer 2018

Richard Williams, Head of Transport at The Consumer Council, said: “We are advising passengers affected by Irish Ferries cancellation of sailings on WB Yeats in summer 2018 that you may now be entitled to compensation, as well as travel expenses if you were re-routed to another port.

Following the recent decision by the National Transport Authority, all those affected by the cancellations should contact Irish Ferries in the first instance via email customersupport@irishferries.com.

If you are not happy with the outcome of your claim you can contact the National Transport Authority, the national enforcement body for Maritime Passenger Rights in Ireland.  They can be contacted on 00 353 187 98300 or email complaints@nationaltransport.ie.”
