Film Fans Wanted for CineSeekers and CineFocus Festival Juries!
Cinemagic is recruiting jury panels made up of 5-11 year olds, 12- 14 year olds, 15+ year olds and 18+ year olds to watch and judge a series of international films during the Cinemagic Belfast 2018 Festival programme in association with Hagan Homes this October.
The CineSeekers and CineFocus jury members meet at the Festival in Belfast and they will enjoy a feast of film before choosing the winning films of 2018.By providing young people with a unique, creative and fun-filled outlet for world cinema, the aim is to develop and nurture a broader appreciation, understanding and love of film, as well as celebrating the stories, peoples and cultures from around the globe.

CineSeekers 5+ (ages: 5-7): Sat 13th & Sun 14th Oct,
10.00am-3.00pm, Movie House City Side Belfast
CineSeekers 8+ (ages: 8-9): Sat 6th & Sun 7th Oct,
10.00am-3.00pm, Movie House Dublin Road
CineSeekers 10+ (ages: 10-11): Sat 20th & Sun 21st Oct,
10.00am-3.00pm, Movie House Dublin Road
CineFocus 12+ (ages: 12-14): Sat 13th & Sun 14th Oct,
10.00am-2.30pm, Strand Arts Centre, Belfast
CineFocus 15+ (ages: 15-17): Sat 6th & Sun 7th Oct,
1.00pm-6.00pm, Queen’s Film Theatre, Belfast
CineFocus 18+ (ages: 18-25): Sat 13th & Sun 14th Oct,
1.00pm-6.00pm, Queen’s Film Theatre, Belfast
CineFocus Animation (ages: 15-25): Fri 12th, Sat 13th, Sun 14th & Mon 15th Oct,
6.00pm-8.30pm, Queen’s Film Theatre, Belfast
CineFocus Documentary (ages: 15-25): Wed 10th & Thurs 11th Oct,
6.00pm-10.00pm, Crescent Arts Centre Belfast
Please Note: You can apply for more than one CineFocus jury strand if you are the relevant age and the dates don’t clash. The cost to participate is £20 per person and payment details are included in the registration form. Travel to and from the cinema is the responsibility of a parent/guardian if the participant is under 18. Films will be screened in their original language with English subtitles where necessary. The jury is open to all young people from Northern Ireland and Republic of Ireland.
